The most difficult fracture

The most difficult fracture

A 38-year-old guest of Vladivostok fell from a height of 1 meter while cleaning an apartment and received an open fracture of both bones of the lower leg. The nature of the fracture is unstable, there was an open wound, as a result of which it was decided to abandon the usual conservative methods of treatment (plaster, skeletal traction system) and an emergency operation was performed to initially stabilize the fracture with an external fixation device. In the postoperative period, a comprehensive approach to anesthesia was used. This technique involves the correction of biases during treatment. From the first days, the patient is mobile, discharged home in the conditions of fixing the fracture with the Ilizarov device.
